Who we are

Hear My Song is a musical theatre choir based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. For anything to do with your personal information, email us at hello@hearmysong.music or write to Hear My Song, c/o Clickingmad Ltd, Waterloo House, Castle Terrace, Bridgnorth, Shropshire WV16 4AH.

What we collect and why

When you register your interest on our website we ask for your first name, last name, email address, mobile number and postcode, whether you are a singer, a musician or both, and a line about your singing experience. We also ask you to confirm that you are 18 or over and that you are happy for us to contact you, and we record the date and time you ticked those boxes. We use this to invite you to a sing-through, to let you know when concerts are announced, and to get in touch about taking part.

We collect this on the basis of your consent, which you give by filling in and sending the registration form. You can withdraw it at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any of our emails or by emailing hello@hearmysong.music, and we will remove your details.

If you email us or use the contact form, we keep your message and our reply so that we can deal with your enquiry.

Where your information is kept

Your registration details are stored in MailerLite, the email service we use to keep in touch with people on our list. MailerLite is run by MailerLite Limited, based in Ireland, and your data is held within the European Economic Area, which the UK recognises as providing adequate protection. Our email is provided by Microsoft 365.

The emails we send through MailerLite include a small invisible image that tells us whether an email has been opened. We use this to see which messages are being read and to keep the list tidy. If you would rather we did not know, you can set your email app to block remote images.

We do not sell or pass on your details to anyone else, and we do not use them for anything other than Hear My Song.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as you want to hear from us. We review the list once a year and remove anyone we have not been in touch with for two years. If you ask us to remove you, we will do so promptly.

Cookies

Our website does not use cookies for advertising, analytics or tracking. It loads the Lexend Deca typeface from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests that font file from Google’s servers when the page loads.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to how we use it, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Email hello@hearmysong.music and we will respond within a month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this notice

If we change the way we use your information we will update this page and, where it matters, let you know by email.
